Curry Heaven!

What an amazing meal we had tonight! Recommended by a coworker, we tried Simba's Grill for the first time and will be returning next time we're in Burnaby (from Edmonton). As none of us had sampled east African food before, we asked the friendly owner for recommendations and were thrilled with each of the dishes we devoured.
We started with mogo, which was like a denser french fry, accompanied with a variety of chutneys. We then continued with prawns pili pili, grilled prawn skewers served on a bed of saffron rice; Kuku Paka, an amazing coconut curried chicken; and as an alternative to naan, we tried the Ugali, an African corn meal, similar to polenta. When the owner came to check on us, we decided to try one more dish and on her recommendation, we ordered the Chicken Surwa. Both chicken dishes had the creamiest texture and beautiful, rich colours. Our mouths were watering as soon as we saw them!
We finished our meal fully satisfied, without that feeling that you have eaten excessively. Although not cheap, it was great value for what we paid and will happily pay again, $66.00 plus tip. A definite must for any curry fans! I will also be letting my Facebook friends know about what a great restaurant you have! Thanks again for the great recommendations and incredible food.

We certainly enjoyed ourselves Saturday evening in your Burnaby restaurant. Your suggestions for our dinner were all excellent and I know we will return to enjoy some more of the wonderful tastes you featured.
Our dining was made all the more pleasurable with your conversation. We promise to leave room for dessert next time.
